Thinkings

  • Mood: Thinking...

Finally got to try my Wibrain on the move today. The keyboard is nice but I guess it will take me quite a bit to get used to it. Using this UMPC is fun and good. It is not that straining on the eye. But when I paired it with my Bluetooth keyboard, I hate to admit I feel it straining to see and use it in replacement of a laptop or desktop. Nonetheless, it served well as a UMPC and upgraded my status as a mobile road warrior.

Have been thinking a lot lately about things that is going to happen after I ORD. Should I start my career as a mechanical engineer and study at the same time? From live experience from my classmates, it seems that it is really hard to juggle work and study at the same time. Take for example that you work from 8 to 5 daily and you still have to drag your weary body to school. Fatigue will kick in, cannot concentrate on class and most of the time you do not understand what your lecturer is talking about due to the fact you cannot even concentrate properly. Not forgetting in a working year you have only 14 days of leaves to cater for 3 semestral examination and Melbourne trip. Not forgetting you have not set aside some for emergency. Totally stranded. With so many negative factors and cons, I decided to forgo it. Besides it is always better to enter the workforce with a degree. High startup pay and better chance of promoting fast compared to entering with just a diploma and later telling them you got a degree.
Upon careful consideration, given the fact that I just have around 1 year 3 months to graduate, I decided to try and do what I wanted to do but have no chance of doing it before and at the same time, brush up some skills I do for leisure like piano and singing.

The job and passion I wanted to do is being a photographer. Commercial photographer. I have officially joined PhotoConnection as a professional photographer. Being a photographer has a lot of advantages. You got to meet different clients and people and improve your PR. Time is very flexible and there is no limitation on leaves etc as you are the one controlling. Photography is an art and it suits me and is my cup of tea. I will be getting my portfolio very soon and I will link you guys to my company website for viewing. Talking about photography, I have not done much change to my pbase website. I think I really have to find one fine day and revamp it nicely.
On a side note, I planned not to take any piano lessons no more. Reason? Basically I am doing well learning myself and feeling the satisfaction that I can achieve without guidance. I even have a few you tubers that are interested in my pieces and can’t wait for my next debut. I currently am working on Kevin Kern’s Through the Arbor. One page completed out of 5 pages. Hope to complete it within 2 months. After this piece, I will attempt Evanescence’s Lithium by playing piano and singing. Guess most of you have never heard me sing before. I have been a bathroom singer since sometime back. Nonetheless, it is still quite some time away. When the time comes, you can see and judge for yourself. Hope you guys give me your upmost support. Will greatly appreciate every support you guys give.
Stay tuned!
